According to a written statement of the health care company, Borgess Health is about to open is new nursing home by this autumn. The new nursing home would be named as Borgess Gardens. The venue of Borgess Gardens would be on the grounds of the former Nazareth College, next to Borgess Health and Fitness Center on land donated by the Congregation of St. Joseph. It is worth $17 million and has been licensed for 81 beds.

One of the most important investments of Borgess Gardens will be in caring for rehabilitation patients and senior citizens, as stated by Paul Spade, the president and chief executive officer of Borgess Health. Infact, one of the wings of the main building of the nursing home will be used for rehabilitation patients. This wing will have two freestanding, self-contained cottages for 10 people.
