Government Sir Paul Haddacks has appointed two cadets to assist him in his duties in 2009. An outstanding cadet is chosen every year and duties which include lieutenant Governor in official functions and attending certain receptions. He is giving employment to nurses indirectly.

Nursing Cadet Harriett Hoopper is attending QE2nd High School and is living in Peel. It was the leading cadet with Douglas St. John Ambulance group and it was the best county cadet fro 2007-2008. It was remarkable effort in giving employment to nurses and can be expected that these steps can also help nurse to move forward in their lives.
