There are various items which will be collected through Jan 24, also benefits Jackson County schools and Friends of Library in Sylva. In the Campus school is supplying books which will be donated in Multicultural center, basically a center for Service Learning , College of  Education and Allied Professions , Department of Residential living and Hunter Library.


Volunteers of Mountain Trace Nursing Center are also offering firewood for low- income elderly residents in rural areas. When students work together with other persons in the community they can also easily make fruitful change in society. On a second day of service Jan24 WCU students is also joining other students from other Western North Carolina colleges for helping youth based agencies.
